GLASGOW, SCOTLAND (28th October 2026) – Chick-fil-A is proudly partnering with Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre to support people in need across the local community. Through the long-term initiative, surplus food from the newly opened Chick-fil-A Hamilton Palace Grounds restaurant will be donated directly to the non-profit, establishing an impactful food donation programme designed to support the local community.

The collaboration is part of the Chick-fil-A Shared Table programme, which helps fight hunger and reduce food waste by pairing Chick-fil-A restaurants with local charitable organisations. Team Members from the Chick-fil-A Hamilton Palace Grounds restaurant will prepare and package surplus food for donation to Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre, helping the non-profit provide delicious, tasty meals to Hamilton residents in need.

Additionally, Chick-fil-A made a donation of £25,000 to Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre in honor of the opening of Chick-fil-A Hamilton Palace Grounds in the Scotland community. The donation aims to support the charity’s mission to support those experiencing homelessness and facing wider financial and personal challenges.

“Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre provides a lifeline for people facing some of life’s most difficult circumstances, and we want to help strengthen its impact locally. Our £25,000 donation marks the beginning of a long-term commitment that will continue through regular food contributions from the restaurant. As Chick-fil-A establishes roots in Hamilton, we want to contribute in ways that extend beyond the restaurant and serve the needs of local people.”

– Joanna Symonds, Head of U.K. Operations at Chick-fil-A.

Offering a safe and community-based environment, Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre serves free three-course meals to Guests daily and provides clothing, laundry and hygiene facilities. The charity is supported by volunteers who ongoingly contribute their time and skills to help.

Rev. Malcolm J. Anderson, Chair of Hamilton Churches Drop In Centre, said: “On behalf of the trustees and the charity, we are absolutely thrilled and delighted that a global brand is about to partner with our charity. Chick-fil-A’s founding values align with our own, to help those in need and to share with those who have less, these values under ‘a place at my table’, are timeless! It was once said; ‘no-one ever became poor by giving’ and together we can ensure, that those who face the daily challenge of food poverty, have a warm meal, a warm hub, a safe space to attend and a place at our table.”

Over 2,700 Chick-fil-A restaurants in the United States participate in the Chick-fil-A Shared Table, along with Chick-fil-A UK restaurants in Belfast, Leeds, Kingston and Liverpool.
